Clinical developmental psychologist and cognitive neuroscientist whose research focuses on the quantitative analysis of social interaction and its underlying neurocognitive mechanisms. Her work develops technology-supported approaches to phenotyping human social behaviour, integrating multimodal “hyper-recording” of interpersonal dynamics, including motion, facial expressions, physiology, eye-tracking, and speech, with a particular emphasis on nonverbal communication. She advances the objective characterization of social communication through constructs such as interpersonal synchrony, temporal coordination, and predictive processing, enabling the development of digital diagnostic markers and scalable assessment tools. With a particular interest in mental health across development, in particular adolescence, she combines controlled experimental paradigms with real-world interaction data and immersive technologies such as virtual reality to advance a mechanistic and transdiagnostic understanding of social functioning across clinical and non-clinical populations.
